Based on Rick Porrello’s biography of Danny Greene, a tough Irish-American gangster working for mobsters in Cleveland during the 1970s who stops taking orders and becomes a Robin Hood-style folk hero helping poor families while surviving many attempts on his life and a growing sense of invulnerability as the notorious man the mob could not kill. Co-written by UMass alum Jonathan Hensleigh and co-produced by UMass Alum Bart Rosenblatt, this crime biopic stars Ray Stevenson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Christopher Walken, and Val Kilmer.
