A student engages with his faculty mentor

Thank you to those who applied for CRF's Spring Student Research Awards.
We will announce the winners in early April.

The Student Research Awards Program at CRF provides support to UMass Amherst undergraduate and graduate students to work with university faculty mentors on research. It also enables the acknowledgment of outstanding student research on family issues. Award recipients engage with CRF by attending roundtable events during their award year to present their research methodology and findings to fellow recipients and CRF affiliates.

Family research is broadly defined and encompasses all disciplines. UMass Amherst students from all programs and departments are eligible to apply. Representation across disciplines is desired. Applicants will be rated based on the quality and broader significance of their research, relevance to issues affecting families, and overall intellectual merit. Preference will be given to first time applicants and individuals who have not previously won the award.
