The Center for Research on Families will award $1,000 to six UMass Amherst undergraduate students, currently in their junior or senior year whose honors thesis, research project or capstone project aligns with family research.
Family research is broadly defined and encompasses all disciplines. Awardees will be chosen based on the quality and broader significance of their research, relevance to issues affecting families, and overall intellectual merit. Preference will be given to first time applicants and individuals who have not previously won the award. Awards are processed through the UMass Amherst Financial Aid Office and posted to the student's University account. Awardees are free to spend their funds as they please. Apply here, by 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 16. The research awards are funded by generous support from Women for UMass.
