Meet our newest student awards recipients and learn about their research.
The Center for Research on Families recognizes the importance of supporting family researchers at all stages of their careers and is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our competitive program recognizes outstanding students, from a broad range of departments and disciplines, who are conducting research on issues related to families.
Since it's inception in 2010, the Student Research Awards program has awarded over $479,150 to 189 students in support of their research efforts and assisted them to present their findings at professional meetings and conferences throughout the world.
This year's student awardees are among one of the largest cohorts we have recognized and are addressing family challenges such as the political lives of Black young adults, intergenerational differences in the causes of loneliness in Cambodian Americans, risk factors for suicidal thoughts in ethnoracially minoritized college students, and ownership and reuse of historic buildings in Colonial Delhi.
