Virtual - Ordinary Magic: Improving Our Resiliency

Please join Genevieve Chandler, professor at the UMass Amherst College of Nursing and world-renowned expert on resiliency, as she shares her insights and offers guidance to help you be resilient during these tumultuous times.

In this interactive, live-stream event, you’ll learn tangible methods for dealing with stress, finding inner peace and strength, and increasing focus. You’ll also be able to take part in celebrating 2020 as the World Health Organization's Year of the Nurse and learn better ways to support those on the frontlines.

In 2013, Chandler established the Changing Minds, Changing Lives program at the university which has since helped countless UMass Amherst student-athletes and nursing students reduce stress and gain confidence. Now, she is bringing that expertise to you and is excited to share her trusted tips to achieving peace of mind and answer your questions. 

Registrants are invited to submit questions in advance of the live-stream event. There is no cost to participate.

Genevieve “Ginny” Chandler is a research professor specializing in areas of empowerment, adverse childhood experiences, trauma-informed care, and resilience. She began her career as a hospital nurse and quickly moved into psychiatric care. After earning her PhD in 1986, Chandler then joined the world of academia. In 1987, she began teaching at the UMass Amherst College of Nursing as an assistant professor. Read more about Dr. Chandler's approach to resiliency.
