Talia Grossman is a Communication Disorders Major and an Art Minor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Through different summer camps and organizations she has worked with both mainstream children, adolescents, and adults as well as with many diagnosed with various disorders and developmental disabilities. She is currently most interested in communication strategies for people with neurodevelopmental disabilities such as autism and auditory processing disorders. With the CRF assistantship, Talia will conduct research with Dr. Mary Andrianopoulos that examines sibling relationships in families with developmentally disabled or delayed children.  This focus is a result of her experiences working with different types of people, combined with her current work on a literature review of developmental milestones in autism. She is also a passionate sustainable gardener and writing tutor.
