Assistantship in Family Research 2010

Morgana Flaherty is an undergraduate student in psychology with an anticipated graduation date of 2011. Morgana has been studying with Dr. Harold Grotevant, psychology professor and director of the Rudd Adoption Research Program. Morgana's main research question focuses on the adolescent and adult birthmothers' reason for placing a child for adoption. Such insight will lead to many pathways to facilitate healthy adjustment for birthmothers. Morgana believes that working with a multi-site collaborative team enhances her knowledge and allows her to interact with other professionals who share her interest in the birthmother study. The CRF assistantship award will enable her to work in the adoption lab where she says, "I learn much about myself and the goals I plan to pursue in the near future".
