Hillary Paul Halpern is a first-year graduate student working with Maureen Perry-Jenkins. Her current research deals with the roles of parents’ gender ideology and gendered behavior in their children’s development of gender-role attitudes. She also studies single mothers’ experiences across the transition to parenthood. Hillary received a Family Research Travel Award from the Center for Research on Families to present her work at the 2012 Gender Development Conference in San Francisco.
