Each year OFD offers annual support for a unique cohort of scholars, typically at mid-career, for one semester. The theme changes each year. The purpose of OFD Scholars is to give faculty the opportunity to work on some aspect of their writing that will move them closer to the next promotion stage.

Scholars support each other and are guided by Rebecca Dingo, the facilitator, through interactive writing workshops and peer-feedback sessions. The training, feedback, and accountability help OFD Scholars make significant progress on their research while balancing other work and personal commitments. The call for OFD Scholars generally goes out in late fall and scholars meet in the spring. For more information, please contact Rebecca Dingo.
