Faculty and librarians at all ranks are called upon to lead, including spearheading a working group, running a lab, serving as a graduate or undergraduate program director, mentoring new hires, chairing a committee, shepherding an academic department, or serving as an associate dean.

OFD’s Leadership Development program helps you be a better advocate, connector, mentor, weaver of collective purpose, and catalyst for positive change by understanding your leadership style, enhancing your leadership skills, and exploring pathways to future leadership roles.

We offer workshops for all faculty and librarians, series for specific cohorts of leaders such as heads and chairs of departments and associate deans, and mutual mentoring groups. We also administer leadership fellowships and host online resources.
