Associate Professors often have to balance a ‘new normal’ of increased teaching and service while continuing to grow their research profile. In this workshop, recently-promoted full professors will discuss ways to successfully navigate this transition and thrive while working towards the rank of Full Professor. Panelists will discuss their own paths to promotion and will lead small group discussions focused on self-assessment of strengths and growing edges, navigating service, and achieving balance.

The next workshop in this series “Creating Your Associate Professor Faculty Development Plan” will be held on December 9, 1:00-2:30 pm.

Facilitators: Angela de Oliveira, Interim Chair of Environmental Health Science, Professor of Resource Economics and Sarah Poissant, OFD Chancellor’s Leadership Fellow, Associate Professor of Communication Disorders
