Transitioning from being a committee member to a committee chair requires application of an expanded skill set. Taking a combined didactic and interactive approach, this workshop will address the process-oriented and leadership-oriented skills necessary for effectively leading committees and councils. Topics include agenda setting, voting rights and procedures, clear communication, consensus building, maintaining motivation, and who to turn to when additional support is needed.

Facilitator: Sarah Poissant, OFD Chancellor’s Leadership Fellow, Associate Professor of Communication Disorders

This event is part of OFD's LEAF Series (Leadership Essentials for All Faculty), an initiative for all faculty members who are interested in learning more about leadership and enhancing their leadership skills.
