Leading in Turbulent Times
Co-sponsored by: Office of Faculty Development, Workplace Learning and Development, Faculty and Staff Assistance Program
In this time of rapid change and uncertain economic times, leaders need to be thoughtful, transparent, and open to the needs of their department. In this session we will explore the dos and don’ts of managing in turbulent times; the vital role of communication and how to communicate in compassionate and thoughtful ways; how to help faculty and staff think about the future; and how to recognize your own emotional pressure points so that you can best support the needs of your faculty and staff.
Facilitators:
Margaret Arsenault, Director, Workplace Learning & Development
Corey Albert Griffin, Director, Faculty and Staff Assistance Program
Karen Helfer, Chancellor's Leadership Fellow, Professor, Dept. of Communication Disorders
