FLC Play Date

It’s winter break at your child’s school but not at UMass – you've got to figure out how to juggle classes, labs, research, writing, meetings, and childcare too. We know how that feels! While we can't provide childcare for you in the Faculty Librarian Commons, we are providing a child-friendly space for you to come for a few hours, meet up with fellow parents, set your kids up with activities, and maybe even answer a few emails.

Activities will include bookmarker making, journal creating, coloring, duplos and of course books. We'll have some drinks and treats for both kids and adults. If it’s a clear day, you can point out the landmarks of the valley – and fingers crossed, a falcon will make an appearance on our perch! If not, you can always take a trip down to the 21^st floor to visit the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle statues and check out some more children’s books. Who knows – you and your kid might even run into a friend or make a new one. Hope to see you there!
