This session will offer participants an opportunity to reflect upon their own moments of 'flow' with a look to the summer ahead. Flow is an enjoyable state of being, when you are entirely in the present and more creative and productive. During this session we will look at what supports your flow, review and apply effective time management tools, and identify strategies for being present and focused in your work.

Presenters: Jennifer Lundquist, Professor of Sociology and Associate Dean, and Kathryne Young, Assistant Professor of Sociology, College of Social & Behavioral Sciences.

Workshop: 9:30 - 11:00 am
Optional follow-up discussion: 11:00 - 11:30 am

Start Your Summer mini-series is four days of optional morning sessions for faculty to reflect on the semester and focus on the moment we are in, to engage in summer planning, consider current research strategies, learn tools for time management, and/or take time for writing with colleagues. Each day offers a different topic. The link you receive upon registering will give you access to all of the sessions, so you may choose when to engage.
