Angela de Oliveira
Associate Provost for Faculty Development, Professor of Resource Economics
Dr. Angela C.M. de Oliveira provides vision and leadership for the Office of Faculty Development, focusing especially on leadership development, mentoring, mid-career, awards and recognition, as well as community, inclusion, and wellness programs to support healthy, equitable, thriving faculty and departments.
In addition to her administrative role, de Oliveira is a Professor of Resource Economics who joined the faculty of the UMass Amherst Department of Resource Economics as an Assistant Professor in 2009. She is a behavioral and experimental economist whose research focuses on group decision-making, cooperation, and generosity. She uses controlled laboratory techniques to determine the robustness of how individual and societal differences affect behavior.
