About Us

UMass Amherst's Office of Faculty Development (OFD) offers programming and support to help faculty and librarians work, live, and thrive on campus and beyond.

We serve both tenure and non-tenure-track faculty (including lecturers, research, clinical, and extension) and librarians. Our evidence-based programs support the needs of faculty, librarians, and academic affairs leaders, while also providing recommendations and tools to create positive change within the university. Central to all OFD activities is our focus on advancing inclusive programming and support for all of UMass Amherst's diverse faculty.
