David Dower

Assistant Vice Chancellor Campus Planning/Design & Construction Management

As Assistant Vice Chancellor of Campus Planning/Design & Construction Management, Dower leads the campus capital program’s development of plans to determine future capital programs for delivery of UMass Amherst’s buildings, facilities infrastructure, campus landscape and support services, as well as the implementation of a comprehensive portfolio of capital and real estate projects, including acquisitions and new construction, renovations, infrastructure replacement and improvements.

Ray Jackson

Assistant Vice Chancellor Facilities Management

As Assistant Vice Chancellor of Facilities Management, Jackson oversees a diverse department that is responsible for operational services and sustainability as well as custodial, grounds, utilities, alterations, building maintenance, and waste management covering nearly 14 million square feet of space at UMass Amherst. Facilities Management is a complex organization that operates successfully through the diligent efforts of our highly motivated and dedicated personnel.
