This presentation explores the history and music of the viola d'amore, a 14-stringed instrument invented in the Baroque Era, in a lecture/performance format.

Well-known to both Bach and Vivaldi, the uniquely sweet and resonant tone of the instrument is also well-suited to express the diverse music of our time.
