The return to schools is offering us an opportunity to create classrooms that are more responsive, equitable, and engaging than they ever were before. If your work aspires to build community and foster critical conversations around research and teaching, please consider attending Language, Literacy, & Culture’s 24th Annual Graduate Student Conference, December 1, 2021.

The theme for this year’s conference is Unmasking Inequities: An Interdisciplinary Conference on Research and Teaching. This is a FREE conference for students from any discipline, graduate or undergraduate, at UMass and beyond, as well as anyone interested in the field of education. It is an opportunity for all to present their research and works in progress. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions on a variety of topics, including multicultural education, anti-racist teaching, critical pedagogy, and more.

This FREE virtual conference will take place on December 1, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM. REGISTER HERE: https://forms.gle/AjNxxJUdnoWra8o28

This conference is organized by the Student Advisory Committee of the Bilingual, ESL, & Multicultural Education and Reading & Writing Programs and Language, Literacy, and Culture Doctoral Concentration at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
