Undergraduate Student Speaker Contest Deadline

All undergraduate seniors are invited to submit a speech proposal for consideration as the UMass Amherst Undergraduate Student Commencement Speaker for the Class of 2023. 

Have you ever envisioned yourself speaking in front of your fellow graduates, families, and friends at the Commencement Ceremony? Do you have words of inspiration or reflection that you would like to share? If so, then this opportunity might be right for you! Submit your proposal to be the Undergraduate Student Speaker.

Submission Deadline: March 1, 2023 at midnight. 

INSTRUCTIONS

Submit Proposals via Email To: Student Speaker Selection Committee, ATTN: Rebecca White, rebecca.white@umass.edu.

Please be sure to include: 

• Undergraduate Student Speaker in the subject line
• Your Full Name
• Your Student ID Number
• Your Major  
• Attach your speech for consideration. Proposals should consist of two typed double-spaced pages, or the equivalent of three to four minutes of speaking time.
