Undergraduate Student Commencement Speaker Call for Proposals

You are encouraged to apply to be the 2017 Undergraduate Student Commencement Speaker to share your thoughts as a graduating senior and have a lead role in the Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony. Students are invited to submit a proposal for consideration by the Selection Committee. All class of 2017 graduating Amherst seniors are eligible.
Your proposed speech must be written by you as an individual, no group or collaborative submissions are accepted. It should be of general interest to graduating seniors as well as to parents and other guests. Your speech may address your impressions and experiences, both academic and extra-curricular and may express your thoughts as you look to the future. Proposals submitted need to be approximately two typed pages, double spaced or the equivalent of three to four minutes when spoken.
Proposals are due Tuesday, February 7, 2017 by 4:30 p.m. to the Student Speaker Selection Committee, 305 Whitmore Administration Building or by email to Rebecca Dufault at firstname.lastname@example.org by 4:30 p.m.
