Title: Investing in Private Markets: Social and Environmental Benefits

Dr Stavros Siokos is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Astarte Capital Partners, a specialist co-investment platform, focusing on real assets opportunities that are towards the value-add area rather than core-infrastructure. The Astarte team is based in London, New York, Sydney, Toronto and Zurich demonstrating a strong track record on successfully evaluating investment opportunities and actively developing, managing and growing asset management businesses across different regions and sectors.

He has almost 25 years’ experience in building and managing businesses in various areas of Capital Markets, Asset Management and Alternative Investments. He started his career at Salomon Brothers in London where he later became Managing Director of Citigroup for 13 years. At Citigroup he was global head of alternative executions, portfolio trading strategies and pension fund solutions. He then became CEO in a boutique asset management firm transforming it into a multi-billion asset management businesses with a global footprint.

Dr Siokos holds an Electrical and Computer Engineering Diploma from the University of Patras, Greece, a MSc in the same field and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts.
