The Library’s Special Collections and University Archives will remain open for alumni to visit a special exhibit celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the University’s founding.

Since the centennial of the university in 1963, UMass has been revolutionized.  More buildings, more students, more programs, more research and more campuses have transformed what had once been a quiet agricultural college into a modern research university, roiled by new generations of students with agendas far different than those of their predecessors as well as surprising continuities with the institution’s past.  “Transformed: UMass a Century On,” the library’s third exhibit this year in honor of the campus’s Sesquicentennial, will examine the post-World War II era at UMass Amherst and its chaotic emergence into the twenty-first century.

Free, open to the public
