Professor Aileen Dillane (University of Limerick) is a world-renowned ethnomusicologist, Irish music specialist, and popular music scholar. Her research includes ethnicity, identity, nationalism and cosmopolitanism in the traditional and popular musics of Ireland, UK, North America, and Australia; protest song/music; music and migration; and urban soundscapes and critical citizenship.
