Please join the Social Thought and Political Economy Program for a lecture with Silvia Federici. Professor Federici  is an Italian-American scholar, teacher and activist from the radical autonomist feminist Marxist tradition. She is one of the most important contemporary theorists of capitalism and feminist movements. She is the Co-Founder of the International Feminist Collective and the Committee for Academic Freedom in Africa and the organizer of the International Wages for Housework Campaign. She has written several influential works including Caliban and the Witch  and Revolution at Point Zero: Housework, Reproduction and Feminist Struggle. She has recently published  Witches, Witch-Hunting and Women and Re-Enchanting the World: Feminism and the Politics of the Commons. She is a Professor Emerita at Hofstra University.
