Join UMass Hillel and the Public Higher Education Network of Massachusetts for a FREE Friday night dinner. Come share a festive meal and learn about the student debt advocacy campaign at UMass this semester.

The Public Higher Education Network of Massachusetts (PHENOM) is an organization that aims to connect and mobilize students of Massachusetts public colleges around the issues of student debt and college affordability. PHENOM along with with the Massachusetts Teachers Association (MTA) and the Massachusetts Education Justice Alliance (MEJA) are advocating for the Fund our Future campaign, which through legislation, would increase funding for k-12 and higher ed. The PHENOM chapter on the Umass Amherst campus is very strong and collaborates with the Center for Education Policy and Advocacy (CEPA).

PHENOM is also spearheading an Advocacy Day on March 21st where students from colleges all over MA will be coming to the state house to meet with legislators about the Fund our Future bills and the dire need for action against raising tuition and fees and the high amounts of student debt.
