The Center for Multicultural Advancement and Student Success (CMASS), Women of Color Leadership Network (WOCLN) at the Center for Women & Community, Stonewall Center, Student Activities and Involvement, Center for Counseling and Psychological Health, Center for Health Promotion, Black Student Union, UMASS Dining, Commonwealth Honors College, Sustainable UMASS, the Social Justice Education Program, the Coalition to End Rape Culture and the College of Social and Behavioral Science join the YWCA in Taking a Stand Against Racism

Amherst, MA, April 7, 2014- The programs listed above will host a Public Stand consisting of a series of events leading up to observing the official Stand Against Racism day on Friday April 25, 2014.  The events will be held on the UMass Amherst campus in Wilder Hall and are free to the public.

For the past three years, representatives at UMass Amherst joined the YWCA in their “Stand Against Racism” (SAR) movement, which aspires to eliminate racism by bringing together like-minded organizations, holding educational workshops, and engaging participants in awareness campaigns through social media outlets.
