The Social Science Matters speaker series showcases the contributions of various social science disciplines to pressing current societal issues. The series demonstrate the cross-disciplinary connections within and beyond SBS, and has covered topics such as inequality and resistance in past iterations.

This year's theme, "Perspectives on Migration," features experts discussing policy and intellectual questions around migration, including how U.S. immigration policy will be impacted by the current presidential candidates and the humanitarian crisis of the current worldwide refugee movement.
