We've got Shabbat offerings for everyone whether you're in the Amherst area or studying remotely. Check out the descriptions below for a whole menu of Shabbat options.

Shabbat Your Way
We are so excited to be offering a new way to do Shabbat dinner for Spring 2021! Students will now be able to host from their very own homes. You can gather for in person dinners with your roommate(s), or virtually with other UMass students- the choice is yours.
Hillel has you covered for the cost of food and will provide resources to enhance your Shabbat experience. Fill out this form to get started

Shabbox
Wherever you're located, we'd love to provide you with a Shabbox, a kit with some essential, reusable items to brighten your Shabbat celebrations: a challah cover, kiddush cup, and more. Shabboxes will be available to all locations by mail or for pickup in-person in Amherst. Use this form to sign up or click the photo above!
Note: Each student may only order one Shabbox, but local students may order weekly refills on supplies such as challah, grape juice and candles.

Dinner to Go
We're also offering Shabbat to-go meals from Kosher Dining Commons and challah, grape juice, and candles for students living locally. If you'd like both a meal and challah, grape juice, and candles, please fill out the Shabbat meal form.

Curious about Friday nights with Hillel but don't know who to ask? Contact Emerson at efinkle@umass.edu for more information.
