"International Research on Inequalities in Higher Education: Comparing Diversity & Equity Concerns in India & the U.S." Sangeeta Kamat, Associate Professor, International Education & Education Policy Studies, College of Education, and Ximena Zuniga, Associate Professor, College of Education, will discuss the Inclusive Universities project and explain the context, issues, and challenges of undertaking this research. They will share the rich expertise and experience among social science faculty on conducting demographic research, large-scale surveys, and focus groups, especially in the university context, with the hope of developing a network of faculty who can serve in an advisory capacity to the project, as well as engaging doctoral students in learning about opportunities to participate and contribute to various components of the project. This seminar will also be a forum for faculty to share their ideas on prospective research and other forms of collaboration that they wish to explore with Pune University and other institutions in India. A light lunch will be served.
