School of Earth and Sustainability Launch

The School of Earth and Sustainability (SES) marks its one-year anniversary by hosting the official public launch, showcasing the important work of SES faculty and students, and to celebrate this cross-disciplinary partnership that spans two colleges and includes five departments.
The launch will include a showcase of student work, invited guest speakers, and graduate student “lightning talks” on environmental issues, earth sciences and sustainability.
10:30 a.m. Student Showcase: SES graduate and undergraduate students display their work exploring sustainability, environmental issues, and earth sciences. Location: Atrium, Design Building
11:30 a.m. Keynote Speaker: Dan Kahan, professor of law and psychology, Yale Law School. Location: Atrium, Design Building
1:30 p.m. SES Lightning Talks: 14 Standout graduate students rapidly present their research and field-based projects. Location: Room 170, Design Building
Lunch and refreshments provided.
The School of Earth and Sustainability (SES) is a cross-disciplinary partnership with the Departments of Environmental Conservation, Geosciences, Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning, Stockbridge School of Agriculture, and Microbiology. SES joins together diverse academic programs, research, and outreach that share a common focus on sustainability, the environment and earth sciences. Together, our community includes over 100 world-class faculty, 1300 undergraduate students, and 320 graduate students.
