The Resistance Center for Peace and Justice: 35th Annual MLK Day Celebration

The Resistance Center for Peace and Justice celebrates the 35th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with a celebration assembly and a day of community workshops.
A schedule is as follows:
Celebration Assembly, 1 p.m., Edwards Church of Northampton: Hosted by The Resistance Center for Peace and Justice's Myra Lam, the general assembly will feature a panel discussion with Dr. Ousmane Power-Greene (Clark University), Jacqueline Velez (Neighbor to Neighbor Holyoke), and Tanisha Arena (Arise for Social Justice).
Community Workshops, Various Locations, 2:30-5 p.m.: Free community workshops will be available to all. No pre-registration is required. A full schedule with locations can be found here. Some of the scheduled workshops will include topics such as harm reduction and the opioid crisis; LGBTQIA+ justice; Justice Choir; social justice and feminism; DIY podcasts (hosted by UMass Amherst Assistive Technology Center staffers Kelsey Hall and Josh Peterson); and more.
All events are free and open to the public.
