In this inaugural Department of Communication Annual Lecture Series, Silvio Waisbord, Ph.D., former editor-in-chief of the Journal of Communication, argues that long before "interdisciplinary" became a buzzword, communication studies was already a "post-discipline," crossing multiple academic fields. Moreover, Waisbord offers a way out of the ensuing chaos and confusion: cultivate a range of public interventions in a variety of areas and settings, thus bridging innovative scholarship and addressing some of the most pressing problems in the world today.

The Integrative Learning Center is located in the center of campus, between the campus pond and the Campus Center.
