The Department of Music & Dance presents the UMass Concert Band, conducted by Timothy T. Anderson, with Thom Hannum and graduate students Matt Sypek and Dave Morris.

The program will feature the premiere of Jeffrey W. Holmes' work G.P., written in memory of the former band director, George Parks, and conducted by Thom Hannum, long time associate director of the Minuteman Marching Band.

Also on the program will be the greatest of all circus marches, Karl King's Barnum and Bailey's Favorite, in commemoration of the closing of the Ringling Bros./Barnum and Bailey's Circus).

Plus Leroy Anderson's Forgotten Dreams, Frank Ticheli's Cajun Folk Songs, Alfred Reed's A Symphonic Prelude, and the Carmen Dragon setting of America the Beautiful.
