The Center for Latin American, Caribbean and Latinx Studies is pleased to sponsor the panel discussion on the book ,"Vernacular Sovereignties Indigenous Women Challenging World Politics" (Picq, 2018).

Manuela Picq, author and Karl Loewenstein Fellow and Visiting Associate Professor of Political Science at Amherst College will be presenting her recent book.

Panelists include: Alice Nash (UMass Amherst Associate Professor of History), Kiran Asher (UMass Amherst Professor of Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and Luis Martin Valdiviezo Arista (Associate Professor of Education at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru).
