The UMass Scholars of Color in Communication Graduate Student Organization presents "A Dialogue on Navigating and Transforming Academia as People of Color," an informal conversation with guests panelists who will share their experience as scholars of color across the Five Colleges. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

Guest Panelists:

  • Iyko Day, associate professor of English; chair of critical social thought at Mount Holyoke College

  • Solsiree Del Moral, associate professor of American studies and black studies; vhair of American studies at Amherst College

  • Laura Fugikawa, visiting assistant professor in the study of women and gender at Smith College

  • Claudio Moreira, associate professor of performance studies in the Communication Department

  • Chris Tinson, associate professor of Africana studies and history at Hampshire College
