At the Offshore Wind Energy IGERT Student Poster Session, students will present posters showcasing the wide range of research that is proposed or currently underway, from helping stakeholders visualize the many aspects involved in siting wind development projects, to sustainable energy education, to robust design optimization of floating wind turbines, to tracking movement patterns of birds and bats in the Gulf of Maine and Nantucket Sound.
The National Science Foundation IGERT Offshore Wind Energy Engineering, Environmental Science, and Policy Program began in the fall of 2011. Since then the program has brought in 30 excellent Ph.D. students, pursuing degrees in seven departments and three colleges across campus.
Take this opportunity to meet with IGERT students, as well as to network with other people interested in the many aspects of offshore wind energy development.
At the event there will be hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
