New Visions: Annual Department of Art Exhibit of Local K-12 Student Work

Students and teachers from area local public schools will show their work in a collaborative exhibit organized by the Department of Art at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. This unique exhibit, New Visions, affords the public a window to see the work of K-12 students and their BFA student teachers or MA-Art Ed teachers displaying the multiple ways artists learn and create.
The University will host an opening reception for the young artists, families, friends and teachers on Thursday, April 11 from 5-7 in the Lee Edwards Gallery in the Studio Arts Building on the UMass campus. The exhibition will be open daily (excluding Saturdays) from 11-4 through April 16.
The following schools will be represented: West Springfield High School, JFK Middle School (Northampton) McMahon School (Holyoke), Millbury Jr/Sr High, Newton Elementary (Greenfield), Smith Middle (South Hadley), Peck (Holyoke), Longmeadow High, Bellamy (Chicopee), Agawam Jr. High.
