Have you ever been curious about how a book is made? In this workshop you’ll learn about the anatomy of modern books by handling books that were bound using a variety of methods and materials. You’ll learn the pros and cons of stitched and adhesive bindings and about the materials and techniques used to make them. You will leave with a greater understanding of how modern books are made and how to treat them with care. (Disclaimer: There will be no zoo animals at this workshop but showing affection to the books is encouraged.)
