LGBTQIA+ Workshop is free and open to all students. Join us in this supportive space where we will discuss how to access LGBTQIA+ resources on campus, discuss ways to build community, and explore new ways to manage your personal wellness. Students welcome to attend some or all sessions.
September 22nd: Connecting with LGBTQIA+ Campus Resources
Learn how to access supports on & off campus such as academic and housing accommodations, health and mental healthcare, recovery support and more. Knowing where to turn and learning to ask for help, can make all the difference.
October 6th: Building Community
We’ll talk about how to combat loneliness and social anxiety, exploring topics such as vulnerability, trust, and the power of creating healthy friendships. The campus community is a strong one, let’s help you find your place in it.
October 27th: Managing Mental Health Challenges
In the face of stigma and discrimination, supporting and understanding your mental health is important. Learn to identify difficulties such as depression, anxiety, and substance misuse. We will explore coping strategies and resources for care.
November 17th: Strength & Resiliency
Let’s come together to identify our strengths, areas for growth, and build upon the resilience we have already been cultivating in order to create joy and movement towards our goals.
