Frederick M. Lawrence, national secretary/CEO of Phi Beta Kappa and civil rights lawyer, will give a lecture "Speaking about Free Speech: It's Complicated." A reception will follow. 

Lawrence is the former dean of George Washington Law School and president of Brandeis University.  

The event is sponsored by Phi Beta Kappa and the Commonwealth Honors College.
