Rafael Rodríguez Beltrán speaks on "The French Revolution and the Caribbean in Alejo Carpentier’s 'Explosion in a Cathedral'" (El siglo de las luces).
Beltrán is vice-president of the Alejo Carpentier Foundation and associate professor in the faculty of arts and letters, University of Havana, and current scholar-in-residence of Hampshire College's Cuba Program.
