Alex Schreyer, senior lecturer, department of building and construction technology program, presents Adventures in 3D Printing.

3D printing is often referred to as the “next industrial revolution.” While the idea of printing your own consumer goods on-demand is certainly exciting, there are many questions that relate to this technology: ownership & copyright, accessibility, technical issues, cost, and others. Alexander Schreyer will present this exciting technology, discuss questions surrounding it, and explain how everyone can use it. Mr. Schreyer, a Senior Lecturer at UMass, is the Director of the Building and Construction Technology Program, and Author of “Architectural Design with SketchUp.”

Most STEM seminars are held at 4 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month during the academic year in Hasbrouck 138.  Everyone is welcome; no reservations are needed and there is no charge.  Parking is available in the nearby Campus Center Garage.  Refreshments will be available ten minutes before the lecture begins.
