“Academic Publishing in the Humanities: The Basics”

Having your first book accepted and published can be a nerve-wracking experience.  This lecture is meant to serve as an introduction to academic publishing, with an emphasis on humanities book (or long form) publishing, and to demystify the path from first inquiry and proposal to printed books, and beyond.

Coffee and refreshments will be served

Note: Limited slots are available for one-on-one consultations with  junior faculty in the afternoon between 4: 30 pm- 5: 00 pm. RSVP for  the afternoon consultations: gcakmak@arthist.umass.edu
