Designed for intermediate STATA users, this workshop is ideal for those managing multiple datasets and aiming to gain confidence in combining and coding with quantitative data. Participants will explore techniques such as adding datasets, aggregating data at different granularities, reshaping data for sequences like longitudinal studies, and using loops for efficient dataset operations.

Learning Objectives:

Append information to a dataset
Merge datasets
Collapse data
Reshape data
Optional: Loop over multiple datasets (time permitting and based on interest)
Pre-requisites/Notes:

Some prior STATA experience (equivalent to an introductory workshop).
The workshop utilizes STATA for PC - there are a few minor commands and functionalities different in STATA for Mac, but Mac users are also encouraged to attend the workshop.
The in-person lab will have access to STATA via the lab computers, but if you plan on using your own laptop, you must set up your access to STATA prior to the workshop.
The workshop utilizes Stata for PC, but Mac users are encouraged to attend, recognizing slight command and functionality differences.
You must also have access to Stata and have it for our in-person workshop.
