Various research topics, managerial concerns, and potential corporate initiatives are summarized in this presentation. Using a multilevel perspective, where the boundary of the decision and issue can be tight or broad, green supply chain topics focused on supplier collaboration and development are introduced. Emergent practices, tools, and theories are also briefly discussed.
Joseph Sarkis is a professor of management, head of the Department of Management within Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s (WPI) Foisie Business School. He has over 180 papers in SSI/SSCI indexed journals. Professor Sarkis has published 200 additional papers in non-SSI/SSCI journals, chapters in books, and in conference proceedings and is the author or editor of nine books. His research is very highly cited and he has been recognized as a 2016 Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher.
Sarkis is the departmental editor of the Social Issues and Sustainability in Engineering Management Department for “IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.” He is a book series editor for the Greening of Industry Networks through Springer-Nature Publishers. He was noted as the most productive global researcher on the topic of supply chain management from 1995-2015.
