Please Join Us For An Information Session for studying and interning in Ghana this summer (July/August).

Star Service & Study Abroad (SSSA) was founded by seasoned travelers and Five-College alumnae, Nialena Ali (Mount Holyoke College, senior in international relations) and Brittni Howard (PhD student in anthropology at UMASS).

We provide students with the opportunity to work alongside our community and research partners. We work with the Ghanaian humanitarian organization, the Cheerful Hearts Foundation, on their anti-child trafficking, public health and education campaigns, while also taking classes that shed light on the socio-political events that contribute to local problems.

With our holistic approach, students have an enhanced learning experience and the community has more capable and informed volunteers. Together we work to build meaningful relationships with our partner organization, the Cheerful Hearts Foundation, while inspiring personal growth and cultural awareness amongst our students.
