The Department of Music and Dance presents a guest artist concert by the Stan Kenton Legacy Big Band, under the direction of Mike Vax. The Stan Kenton Legacy Big Band brings together alumni from the 1956 – 1978 Stan Kenton Orchestras for tours, jazz cruises and festivals. The group performs some of the well-known music of the Stan Kenton Orchestra, plus fresh new material written in the innovative Kenton style.
