The UMass Graduate History Association (GHA) seeks to bring together presenters from across disciplines to have critical conversations that address relevant issues in our world.

Issues that will be discussed include globalization and how the age of information have revealed complex, underlying tensions at the foundations of democracy and society. Technology has increased access to information, allowing citizens to question representations of identities and even propagate misinformation.

We aim to enhance the traditional conference experience by encouraging dynamic round table discussions, panels, and more interactive question and answer sessions.

On March 23rd  from 4pm- 7pm there will be a keynote panel.

On March 24th from 7am-5pm there will be an all day conference; there will be multiple rooms with presenters and a social area and book sale in the atrium.
